My Story
Once, a small town boy from Cyprus in the city of Limassol that felt in love by watching stories unfold in front of my eyes on the big screen. When I started to grow up, I understood that I could be a part of this one love of moviemaking telling stories about who I am and what I need to say to certain audiences.
Motivation
Crafting a movie, whether you are directing or writing one, gives you the ability to show your true self. This is a power that needs to be acknowledged. Now I am motivated and look forward to each day that I have to create original stories that can resonate with people. As directors we are forgers of worlds, and each frame we produce or word we put on paper shows our own identity and what each one of us is truly capable of!
Identity
Upon studying for my bachelor's degree, I tried to maintain my own identity. As long as I could direct with my unique voice within me. I knew that I would never lose the essence of my true self at the university, although the artistic environment and support were lacking in certain areas. My student short film and final thesis project were created for the whole reason of what it means to someone whose identity is lost in my country and the surrounding lifestyle alike, where an artist or even a human being stands, and what it does to change that particular feeling.

Kyriakos Kakoullis
I am a director and writer from Cyprus. Born on the 2nd of March, 1999, in Limassol. My main goal is to be heard. I believe that making movies unlocks a voice within me, an identity that I can share with the world, and the power as a filmmaker to give something new to the world that loves what I love. I finished my bachelor's degree with distinction at the Frederick University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Later, at the university, the ability arrived for me to work as a PA (production assistant) on different feature and short films. This taste of business helped me create my first student short film, Pollinator (2022). Later in my career path, I went on to assist with short films and create my own, with collaborations around Cyprus. Eventually, I added another short film and a short documentary film about a certain architectural movement in Cyprus.
